Y       We have our ten sheep sheared professionally each year in March.  In July and August, I enter the fleeces in the three local fiber festivals, Eureka Fiberfest, Eureka, Montana, the Montana Round-up Fiber Festival in Kalispell, MT and the NW Montana Fair Fiber Festival, Kalispell, MT.  This past year, we had the Grand Champion fine fleece in Eureka, the Best of Show fleece at the Montana Round-up and the Reserve Grand Champion colored fine fleece at the NW Montana Fair, plus blue ribbon fleeces at each event.

After the festivals, we sell the whole raw fleeces or have our wool processed into yarn or rovings.  Along with a quilting/seamstress friend, Sylvia Kerchner, I also make baby or child size comforters using batting from my fleeces and organic cotton.
